Plain terms for a simple transaction: you order, we bake, a courier delivers. This page sets out what you can expect from us, and what we need from you.

This website is operated by Ganesh Bakery, a bakery trading since 1964 from Shop No. 533, V.E Road, Opposite VOC Market, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu 628002, India.
You can reach us at 533gbt@ganeshbakerythoothukudi.com or 0461 2320623. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Ganesh Bakery, and "you" means the person placing an order or using this site.
By browsing this website, adding items to a cart or placing an order, you accept these terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Shipping & Returns policy and our Refund & Cancellation policy. Please read them before you pay.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that governs that order.
Everything we sell is freshly baked food. Photographs on the site are of our actual products, but baked goods are handmade and no two batches look identical, so slight variation in colour, size and finish is normal and is not a defect.
Weights shown are approximate at the time of packing. Because our products carry no artificial preservatives, please observe the best-before date printed on the pack and store the product as directed on it.
Our products are prepared in a single kitchen where egg, cashew and other tree nuts, milk products, wheat and other cereals containing gluten are all handled. Cross-contact between products is possible and we cannot guarantee that any product is free of a given allergen.
Our signature macroons are made on an egg-white base and are declared non-vegetarian under FSSAI rules. Every pack carries the veg or non-veg mark and a full ingredient declaration.
If you have a food allergy, please read the pack before eating, and contact us before ordering if you are unsure. Checking that a product is suitable for you remains your responsibility.
All prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include GST at the applicable rate unless the checkout states otherwise. Shipping is charged as set out on our Shipping & Returns page and is shown separately before you pay.
We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order that has already been confirmed. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical or human error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honour that price.
Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted only when we confirm it to you after your payment succeeds. Until that point no contract exists between us.
We may decline or cancel an order, and refund you in full, if the item is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your PIN code, if the order appears fraudulent, or if a pricing or listing error has occurred.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. You can pay by UPI, credit or debit card, net banking or a supported wallet. Your payment credentials go directly to the gateway and are never stored on our servers.
Your order is confirmed only once the gateway reports the payment as successful. If a payment fails, or is blocked or declined by your bank or by the gateway, no contract is formed and no order is created. If money has left your account in such a case, see our Refund & Cancellation policy: it is normally reversed automatically by your bank within 5 to 7 working days.
We deliver across India through third-party couriers. Processing times, delivery timelines, packaging and courier partners are set out on our Shipping & Returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Delivery timelines are good-faith estimates, not guarantees. Weather, strikes, festival volumes, incorrect addresses and courier delays are outside our control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us.
Please give a complete address and a reachable phone number. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong, or because nobody was available after repeated attempts, we may deduct the shipping cost actually incurred from any refund.
Because we sell perishable food, an order cannot be cancelled once it has been dispatched, and we do not accept returns of correctly delivered products. Cancellation before dispatch, damaged or incorrect deliveries, refund methods and refund timelines are all covered in full by our Refund & Cancellation policy.
If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us at once if you believe someone else is using it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or close an account that is being used fraudulently or abusively.
You may use this site to browse and buy for your own use, or to place a genuine bulk or corporate order. You may not attempt to break into it, scrape it wholesale, overload it, place fraudulent orders, or use it in any way that breaks Indian law.
The name Ganesh Bakery, our logo, our product photography, our recipes and the text and design of this site belong to us and are protected by law. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
We stand behind what we bake. If an order arrives damaged, incorrect or incomplete we will replace it or refund it as set out in our Refund & Cancellation policy, and that is your primary remedy.
Beyond that, and to the extent Indian law permits, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you actually paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or a missed occasion.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of them, or out of an order, is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
